Here's my mask of the Egyptian goddess, Bastet (or Bast).
Bastet was originally seen as a deity associated with the sun, but as the Egyptians adopted another goddess, Sekhmet, Bastet was later seen as a lunar deity.
She was also known as a patron of felines, as a protector of women, and inspired music and dance.
Bastet was always depicted with a sistrum, an Ancient Egyptian musical instrument, which is engraved in the center of her headpiece.
Made from 8oz leather, painted with acrylics and embellished with a Swarovski crystal!
