Egyptian Lion God of War, Maahesby ~senorwong

Mask three for a recent custom order. This is Maahes, a lesser-known Egyptian god. His name means "he who is true beside her". He was the son of Bastet and was associated with war, weather, knives and lotuses.

This mask is made of 8oz tooling leather, hand carved, formed and then painted with acrylics. Custom masks like this can be commissioned via my Etsy shop ([link]).
